Workflow & Platform Transitions: Scaling Creative Operations Across Systems

Designing Systems That Protect Creative Work
Creative work doesn’t scale without strong systems behind it.
While supporting brands across Healthline Media, Red Ventures, and RVO Health — including Healthline, Medical News Today, Greatest, and Optum — my role expanded beyond imagery direction into building the infrastructure that sustained creative production at scale.
I led major asset transitions from Dropbox to Google Drive, and later into Canto (a centralized DAM platform). These weren’t simple file migrations. They required clean taxonomy, duplication control, permission mapping, and protection of licensing history to ensure assets remained usable, traceable, and legally secure.

At the same time, I explored early AI-supported tagging and metadata systems to organize large libraries more efficiently — reducing friction for editors and designers while preserving governance.
As workflows evolved from spreadsheets to WordPress-based publishing and later into Asana, I helped standardize sourcing practices, credits, captions, alt text, and compliance processes — strengthening collaboration between creative, editorial, and copyright teams.
The result was faster publishing, stronger asset integrity, and a system designed not just to support creativity — but to protect it.
